Dadi Janki From The Brahma Kumaris Visits Los Angeles

Dadi Janki

On Friday, June 11, Dadi Janki, the administrative head of Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual Organization, visited Los Angeles to share her wisdom and spiritual experience to the eagerly awaiting group of approximately 500 people who gathered at the Jain Center, in Buena Park on that beautiful evening. The night started with the pre-Colombian and Mayan music performed by Xavier. John Levoff, President of New Frontier Entertainment, delivered the opening note of the program by stating that “tonight is a spiritual self-empowering experience.” This was followed by a special Indian dance carried out by BK Jaya Vaswani, and a reading on Courage and Compassion thereafter by Ros Gentle. Brahma Kumaris Sister Chandru, Vice-President of Brahma Kumaris in the US, introduced Dadi Janki to the audience.

Dadi said, “We need to be completely free from worry, sorrow and fear; and we need to have an honest heart. If we have sorrow within the self, then compassion will not work at all.” On courage, Dadi expressed, “We need to take one step of courage and God will help. The help and courage will help us to move on as God need right hands. A right hand will only work when the heart is okay and when we are light inside.” Dadi also said that “where there is courage there is compassion.”

A guided meditation led by BK Sister Dianne Tilman, Co-ordinator of Brahma Kumaris in Seal Beach, took everyone into deep silence. Dadi Janki gave a long and powerful dhristi (powerful vibrations of God’s love and peace through the eyes) to everyone in the audience before leaving the stage. At the end, everyone received toli (prashad from God) and Blessings from BK Sister Gita, Coordinator of Brahma Kumaris in Los Angeles, and other sisters.
