March gets off to a bit of a bumpy start yet concludes with grace and wisdom

March 1-2

There may be a lot of relationship pressure and intensity when Moon joins Saturn and Rahu in Libra, the sign of relating and harmonizing our energy with others. Both Saturn and Rahu bring pressure and stress to the areas of life they influence. We may imagine others are disrespecting us at this time and want to crawl into a shell to avoid them.

March 3

There will be renewed passion and enthusiasm toward our teachings and creativity when Mars enters Pisces on March 3. Mars gives us the courage and drive to meet our goals and the willingness to sacrifice for them. Between March 3 and April 11 this courage and sacrifice is connected to our highest teachings and principles. This is a great time for service.

March 7-8

You may feel a sudden pull towards solitude and introspection when the Moon goes through Capricorn and is aspected by Jupiter. Typically, our solitude feels like loneliness, evoking a longing for others, compelling us into escapism or other means of feeling comforted. With this aspect from Jupiter, we are instead filled with inner expansion, grace, and connection to the highest in ourselves and in all.

March 11

A new 30-day cycle of community and culture begins with the New Moon in Aquarius. Aquarius is the sign where we willingly align our individual self with a larger collective purpose. Now is the time to connect to your highest calling, beyond your personal failures and glories. This new Moon is joined by retrograde Mercury and Venus, two planets supportive of Aquarius themes. Greater adaptability and flexibility (Mercury) as well as creativity and etiquette (Venus) will be featured.

This New Moon happens in Nakshatra of Purva Bhadra, which is related to a lightning strike of inspiration. Be on the lookout for your inner “eccentric genius” to show up with something good. This is a star in Pegasus, the winged horse.

March 11-12

There could be quite a lot of emotional excess and battles with the Moon/Mars conjunction in Pisces. The Moon and Mars tend to interrupt each other and cause emotional frustration. Be careful not to take this out on others or those you think are making you weak or are watering down your principles (Pisces). Instead, be a strong champion of the heart, a warrior of the light, with emotional courage to spare and share.

March 16-17

Enhanced peace and connection are found when the Moon and Jupiter join in Taurus. The Moon is exalted here, where watery emotions rest on the fixed Earth. Peace and contentment are possible now. Jupiter adds hope and optimism to the process, but we may also become dogmatic and preachy about our beliefs. Be careful believing your own dogmas too much at this time, and instead hold space for all higher views. Also, be careful of excessive material expansion, rather than intuitive expansion.

March 21-22

There will be a lot of deep emotions, yet a lot of inhibitions and a feeling of separation with the Moon/Saturn aspect in Cancer. Cancer is the sign of selfless love, and wanting to merge through the heart with everything. The Moon will be there, yet aspected by Saturn, the planet of separation, boundaries, and the pain those things may cause. The creative option is found in allowing the practical nature of Saturn to lead us to greater emotional maturity around the gains and losses we find so painful.

March 27

The need to develop greater discrimination around our emotions and feelings will be a big issue on the Full Moon in Virgo. Virgo is the reflective, feminine side of Mercury, the planet of details. Organizing, managing our “inner space” is as important as managing the outer one. Discrimination must be mixed with sensitivity, otherwise there is just rampant emotionality and even fanaticism. Virgo is the sign of discrimination. This Full Moon has a direct aspect from Jupiter, bringing grace and wisdom to this process.

This Full Moon happens in Hasta Nakshatra, a great Nakshatra for manifesting our heart’s desire. Hasta means “hand,” showing a practical, hands-on approach that usually takes us far in life.
