This month begins with an attitude of devotion and concludes with a calling to shatter old paradigms and commit yourself to worthy causes.
June 1 – 2
June starts off with a lot of sensitivity, emotions, and hopefully devotion with the Moon in Cancer, aspected by Saturn in Libra. These are good days to connect with family and in other situations where there is selfless love flowing. The aspect from Saturn shows the possibility of hurt feelings revealing the need for more realistic boundaries and expectations.
June 8 – July 2
Communication issues and technology snafus may appear for the next several weeks when Mercury turns retrograde in Gemini. This is a good time to listen more and speak less, and identify those areas in your life where you are spread too thin and not giving proper attention to detail. These are the areas of life that mess up the most during Mercury retrograde cycles.
June 9 – 12
Expect a lot of emotional intensity leading up to the Full Moon in Scorpio on June 12. From June 9-12, the Moon passes over Saturn and Rahu. Be careful not to be driven by fear and jealousy. On the Full Moon we tend to be consumed by emotion, which balances the Sun sign cycle. In this case, the stability of the Sun in Taurus is being harmonized by the intensity and vulnerability of Scorpio. You may feel pulled in many directions, doubting all of the solid structures, comforts, and relationships in your life.
This Full Moon happens in the Nakshatra of Jyeshta, ruled by Lord Indra. He is the King of the Devas, and the one ready to go to battle to defend the kingdom. We must take care and make sure to fight the good fight, rather than seek an outer enemy as way to avoid the inner work.
June 14
A combination of aggression, commitment, and hope will flood our mind with the Moon in Sagittarius, aspected by Saturn, Mars, and Jupiter. The aspect of these three outer planets will be inspiring, yet pressurizing psychologically. This is a time to dream big, but be careful overplaying your hand in any face-to-face situations. You may be a little ahead of yourself, seeing a hopeful potential where none exists, and with a little more bark than bite.
June 19
A new cycle of hope, inspiration, and teaching begins when Jupiter enters cancer. This is a long-term transit, that lasts for the next year. Jupiter is exalted in Cancer, so the year ahead proves to be most inspiring. Keep on the lookout for a new teacher or philosophy to show up in your life between now and the end of June. The next year is a great one for studying higher, philosophical principles as well as being a great time for you to step more into a teaching role.
June 24 – 26
Romance, beauty, and wealth are possible when the Moon joins Venus in Taurus. The Moon is exalted here, and joined Venus, the ruler of Taurus.This commendation brings emotional stability (exalted Moon) and the capacity to fulfill our desire (Venus in Taurus), and most importantly be content with what we have already. The great lesson is to appreciate the beauty in the things you have, and in the natural world and people which inhabit it.
June 27
A new cycle of communication, curiosity and flexibility begins with the New Moon in Gemini. When the Sun and Moon come together, spirit, soul, heart, and mind converge around the themes indicated. In this case, Gemini is the sign where our childlike curiosity compels us to learn, gather information, and then adapt based on increased intelligence. This also compels us to communicate what we find for the benefit of others. However, we must be careful to not become seduced by novelty and trivia. On this new Moon, Mercury, the ruler of Gemini, is retrograde. Thus, confusing the details and mis-communicating our findings is possible.
This New Moon happens in the Nakshatra of Ardra, ruled by Lord Shiva, the destructive/transformative aspect of God. Now is the time to shatter old paradigms and be willing to adjust your life accordingly. Make sure the causes you defend are worthy.
