Astrology April 2015

Sam Geppic - Vedic Astrologer The beginning of this month features the completion of an eclipse cycle that began in March with an energy that supports manifestation. We can utilize this energy even further when Jupiter turns direct, facilitating a recommitment with our teachers and greater clarity about our direction in life. Mid-month, we can benefit from the confidence and purpose of Sun in Aries, fueling our ability to follow our hearts’ desire. Release life’s old scripts in favor of forward momentum.

April 4

There could be a lot of emotional triggering and exaggeration today as we have the Lunar Eclipse in Virgo at 12:05 UTC (Coordinated Universal Time). This Lunar Eclipse follows the Solar Eclipse that occurred in Pisces on March 20. That Pisces Solar Eclipse scattered a lot of energy. On this Full Moon/Eclipse we feel the pressure to pick up the shards and organize them precisely, as is the Virgo way. Unifying the metaphysical with the practical is the big lesson now. It is great to be inspired by things like Cosmic Consciousness (Pisces) but those abstract concepts are only meaningful if they are brought into our habits and daily routines. Virgo is the sign of mastery over these habits and routines.

This Eclipse happens in Hasta Nakshatra, related to an open hand. This is the hand of manifestation, of practical service, but also of detachment from the fruits of our efforts.

April 8

We will feel our sense of purpose and direction move forward again, when Jupiter turns direct today. Since December 9, 2014, Jupiter has been retrograde, which exacerbated confusion about our hopes, inspirations, and ideals. We may have felt some lack of clarity around teachings and teachers and the sense of purpose and hope it gave us since then. For the next seven months or so Jupiter will be direct and we can feel settled around recent tensions with our teachers and the loss of direction it may have created.

April 14

Thirty days of focus and purpose begins today as the Sun enters Aries, where he is exalted and can act with confidence. This next 30-day cycle gifts you with the confidence and capacity to implement your soul’s desire. Typically we do not act on our highest soul vision; instead we waver, going back and forth, searching for inspiration between lesser versions of our hearts’ desire. This is sad. We are supposed to act in accordance with the highest good, and shine that highest intention brightly. Anything less leaves us feeling unfulfilled. This next 30 days is a time for deep fulfillment as you act in accordance with your highest vision.

April 18

Four days after the Sun enters Aries, where he is exalted, we will have the New Moon in Aries at 18:56 UTC. The New Moon is akin to sperm meeting egg, and creating a new life. In this case, it is the Aries cycle for 2015. This is a great time to embark on a new course and burn the old script. Aries begins a new life, after we go through the soul regeneration of Pisces. If we did our homework last month, we have removed some skeletons from our closet, and are now liberated and inspired with a new course.

This New Moon happens in Ashwini Nakshatra, ruled by the twin horses. This symbolizes velocity and enthusiasm, but also a potential recklessness. We must yoke those two horses together otherwise we are pulled in different directions with our energy and enthusiasm dissipated.

April 20-21

Creativity and contentment should be in abundance when the Moon joins Venus in Taurus. The Moon is exalted in Taurus, and Venus rules Taurus, the sign of stability and pleasure. This is a great time to enjoy your friends, lovers, nature, and the beauty of life in general. But beyond enjoyment, there is enormous peace that is possible. This peace, (called Santosha in Sanskrit) is the true gift of Taurus energy. It has more to do with something internal, rather than something external. Contentment with what we have is the real promise of this Moon/Venus conjunction in Taurus. If our happiness is based on something external, it can create restlessness.

April 25-26

Devotion to your spiritual path and teachers will be supported as the Moon joins Jupiter in Cancer. Jupiter is moving forward, so we’ve unraveled some of the confusion we have about our life purpose. Also, as it is joined the Moon, the ruler of Cancer, we can feel this joy permeate our heart and lead us to the heights of inspiration. It is that internal, emotional inspiration that exalts Jupiter. When we feel our teachers and those teachings in our heart, then we are fearless in the face of all obstacles.
