Spirit Voyage
The mysterious power of sacred Naam, the sound current of the ocean of consciousness, is reflected powerfully in Nirinjan Kaur’s voice. She is accompanied here by Matthew Schoening and Ram Dass Khalsa: these musicians open your heart to a world of shabads in the Gurmukhi language along with ancient sacred mantras.
The album begins with the Adi Mantra, used for tuning in, “Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo.” It means, “ I call upon the Creator, I call upon the divine wisdom. I bow to the divine teacher within.”
“Chattr Chakkr Vartee” grabbed my heart. This is a mantra for the heart center, the everlasting giver of indestructible power. “Chattr Chakkr Varte” are the closing lines of Jaap Sahib, the morning prayer of Guru Gobind Singh. Chanting this shabad instills courage and fearlessness into the fiber of the person. Nirinjan delivers this illuminating and victorious message exquisitely.
Nirinjan Kaur closes her album with a mental and spiritual transformative mantra, “Ardas Bhaee,” the mantra for answered prayers. Listening to this esoteric vibration invokes the energy of grace when there is no hope. This energy of miracles, healing, and blessings creates a sensational experience.
The mantras from this healing loving music move you from darkness into light, negativity into positivity, duality to divinity, and the finite to infinite. It is the golden key that helps you connect with your soul and realize love is everywhere.
