Inner Power Yoga was opened in 1998 by current owner Linda Suffin and former co-owner Bryan Kest of Santa Monica Power Yoga.
Although “Power” is part of the studio’s name, it refers to more than the style of Yoga; rather, it illuminates the fact that we all have the power within ourselves to be strong. Linda says, “When you find your inner peace, your humility, your focus, and your intention, you are the most empowered to walk and live your life authentically and with awareness.”
For 14 years, the studio has thrived in the San Fernando Valley. With its recent move from Calabasas to Woodland Hills, Inner Power Yoga creates a sanctuary on Ventura Boulevard. The new location hosts two large rooms and has doubled the size of the retail and community lounge space. The hand painted walls in gold and earth tones are complimented with illustrations by local artists.
Inner Power Yoga offers a variety of styles in addition to Power Yoga including: Iyengar, Anusara-inspired, and Ashtanga practices as well as restorative classes such as therapeutics, aromatherapy and prenatal.
“Love your life” is the motto the studio embodies and perpetuates. “That is the biggest message received from Yoga, the journey, the inspiration, and hopefully, the experience people get from our studio,” says Linda.
