Guru Jagat officially swung open the barn doors to Ra Ma Institute for Applied Yogic Science and Technology on April 19. Did I say barn door? Yes indeed! The entrance into the yoga room is defined by a sliding antique barn door, hand-crafted and designed by Guru Jagat with repurposed wood. This independent Kundalini studio, nestled in the heart of Venice, on Lincoln and Rose Avenue, aims to utilize yogic science and technology in combination with artistic expression and music to create a powerful healing center backed by a 50 car parking lot.
Guru Jagat, vision holder, owner, and senior Kundalini teacher says, “Every aspect of this space has been created with technology to operate at the highest possible frequency.” She infused the space with mantric vibration, mantras written on the white doorways, walls, and ceilings, and amethyst dust sprinkled beneath the floorboards. She also incorporated Tantric numerology into the architecture of the space creating a ‘vortex’ of energy inside the yoga room. The studio features a 60” gong in the center of two amethyst towers and a booming sound system to amp up the vibrational level of the space.
Offering daily Kundalini Yoga and Meditation classes, the Ra Ma Institute also features family classes, separate meditation classes for women and men, Club Ra Ma for dancing on the weekends, live music on Saturday mornings, and Guru Jagat’s offering of decaffeinated chai in the lounge.
