New Earth Records co-founders, Waduda and Prasanna, were inspired to create this after they visited Brazil to see John of God, a world-renowned crystal healer and spiritual surgeon. Compelled to share the crystals’ healing energies, the duo converted the crystals’ light into the tones heard here. In order to imbue the sounds with additional power, seven friends gathered on a Colorado mountaintop to record the tracks, each of which features a single bowl played continuously for several minutes. In a fitting conclusion, the eighth and final track includes all of the bowls being played simultaneously.
Crystal Chakra Healing is meditative, intense, and almost mesmerizing, as the nuanced repetition is both soothing and engaging. The album’s unique tonal quality creates a powerful tool for both meditative states and focused chakra healing.
People already familiar with crystal bowl vibrations will have an easier entre, as the sounds could be initially confusing to those new to the bowls’ energetic vibrations. Crystal Chakra Healing offers a unique experience—by settling into the album and allowing the unfamiliar to become familiar, the listener is lulled into a meditative state of heightened awareness of the present moment.
