SoMantra: Where Soma and Mantra are One is more than just an album of catchy chants. It’s a tool to tap into one’s innate wisdom, mitigate daily stress, and resolve chronic pain.
Scott and Shanti Medina, a husband and wife team who are the voices and writers behind this transformative approach, have been combining her yoga and somatic therapy modality, Body Current® with his original chants for years. Their creation resulted in this unique double CD, produced by Grammy award winner Tom Wasinger, offering original chants, guided chakra meditations, mudra explanations, and ancient practices from around the globe. Each mudra (sacred hand gesture), mantra, and intention is shown in the CD case for easy reference during the practice.
Combining Soma (body) with Mantra (sacred sound formula) supports self-regulation of the nervous system for overall health and wellbeing. “This CD has supported my clients who are struggling with systemic disorders like Parkinson’s disease and autoimmune dysfunction,” says Shanti.
Shanti’s sweet voice carries the rhythm for vibrational change, and merely listening to her speak can be healing enough. Scott’s clear and dynamic call-and-response mantras carried over celebratory melodies have the perfect energetic build to make disc one ideal for building self-empowerment at the start of the day.
This album supports Give Back Yoga Foundation and Common Spirit Events (20% of the sale benefits these initiatives).
