| Description for Your Dedicated Full Page | The training will be broken into 4 non-consecutive weekends, focusing on why prenatal yoga and its benefits, Physiology and Anatomy for all three trimesters of Mama and Baby, the pelvis and it's function, Maladies and working with special circumstances, adaptations for standing postures and Inversions, Childbirth Education & Fetal Positioning, Mula Bandha Vs. Pelvic floor lifts, ligaments, joints and nerves, Restorative Postures, prenatal yoga w/no props, Yamas & Niyamas and an Ayurvedic perspective during pregnancy, Birth from different cultures and perspectives, partnering poses, adaptations for the first through third trimesters, Observing Prenatal classes, teaching prenatal classes in our Community Prenatal classes, Chair Prenatal Yoga, designing classes for all trimesters, Registering to become a Yoga Alliance certified prenatal instructor, the business of Prenatal Yoga and beyond, Observation of Baby & Me classes and what to expect during the Postnatal period. PostPartum needs for Mom's body and emotional conditions, C-section vs. vaginal birth, toning the pelvic floor after childbirth, designing a simple and advanced postpartum class, working with postnatal moms and different levels, common postpartum conditions, practice teaching and observing postpartum classes. There will be assigned reading and homework during the breaks.All prenatal & postnatal classes will be available to attend during the training. There will be outside Prenatal classes to attend. Speakers include an OB Perinatologist from Long Beach Memorial, an acupuncturist who specializes in Prenatal women, a Pelvic Floor specialist for Prenatal women, a Chiropractor who specializes in Prenatal women. All of the speakers have been working in their field for over 15 years! All of the teachers in the training are currently practicing Doulas and childbirth educators or have been collectively for over 25 years! We welcome inclusive language and informed choices to our Prenatal community. |
