When you first walk in the doors of Amplify Acupuncture, you immediately notice the serenity and sense of expansiveness. On Main Street in Santa Monica, this space is an oasis of tranquility.
June Beristain opened Amplify on November 17 with a team of practitioners who are graduates of four-year Masters of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine programs. Each practitioner has a current license to practice acupuncture in the state of California.
In building Amplify Acupuncture, June’s desire is to offer a venue for people to receive acupuncture treatments in an easily-accessible environment. Walk-ins are welcome and no reservations are required to receive revitalization. The pricing structure makes it possible to come in multiple times per month (as does the free membership program). The one hour new patient consultation and re-evaluations are $90. The 30-minute treatments are $60. These options help make acupuncture more available.
On the Menu at Amplify Acupuncture
The intention of the treatments is to “awaken and amplify the body’s own ability to heal itself.” You can receive customized treatments or choose from available menu items. Some of of these treatments include: The Road to Dreamland (to promote good sleep), the Meditation Booster (spiritual attunement), Ready for Change (addiction release), Create Happiness (mood booster), Like an Adaptogenic Blast (stress management), and more.
The relaxation environment features five zero gravity reclining chairs separated by curtains. Consultations are completed in a private space in the back. The treatments are done with high-quality disposable Seirin needles. Whether you’re trying acupuncture for the first time or are an aficionado, Amplify Acupuncture makes it easy for you to settle in for a restorative recharge.

Felicia Tomasko has spent more of her life practicing Yoga and Ayurveda than not. She first became introduced to the teachings through the writings of the Transcendentalists, through meditation, and using asana to cross-train for her practice of cross-country running. Between beginning her commitment to Yoga and Ayurveda and today, she earned degrees in environmental biology and anthropology and nursing, and certifications in the practice and teaching of yoga, yoga therapy, and Ayurveda while working in fields including cognitive neuroscience and plant biochemistry. Her commitment to writing is at least as long as her commitment to yoga. Working on everything related to the written word from newspapers to magazines to websites to books, Felicia has been writing and editing professionally since college. In order to feel like a teenager again, Felicia has pulled out her running shoes for regular interval sessions throughout Southern California. Since the very first issue of LA YOGA, Felicia has been part of the team and the growth and development of the Bliss Network.
