This year marks the 17th annual International Yoga Festival, held in Rishikesh, India, a town widely regarded as the “Yoga Capital of the World.” Rishikesh basks in the beauty and auspicious presence of the sacred Ganges River, or the Ganga, as well as gorgeous views of and access to the Himalayas. For the festival, thousands of devoted spiritual seekers from around the world gather for this monumental event. In one week you can experience more 60 hours of yoga practice at Parmarth Niketan; the largest ashram in Rishikesh and the site of beautiful pujas or ceremonies of worship at dusk on the riverbanks.
