One of our favorite items to serve at Dosa Dosa is this spiced up version of the traditional mango lassi.  A great accompaniment to a spicy dosa, this cooling yogurt and mango shake is sweetened with honey and served ice cold.  It’s easy to make at home with the right ingredients, especially ripe, juicy, melt-in-your-mouth mangoes!
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups diced peeled pitted mango (about 1 1/2 large)
1 cup plain nonfat yogurt
1 cup ice cubes
1/4 cup low-fat (1%) milk
1 1/2 tablespoons honey
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon ground cardamom
Preparation:
Combine diced mango, yogurt, 1 cup ice cubes, milk, honey, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and ground cardamom in blender.
Puree until smooth.
Pour smoothie into 2 glasses.
Garnish each glass with a pinch of cinnamon and cardamom.
