Sam GeppiSeptember delivers some doses of drama before ending up in an intense fire. Step outside your comfort zone to find your true power and recognize the month’s ongoing themes of studying, teaching, and organizational management.

September 1-2

The month starts off with drama and intensity with the Moon debilitated in Scorpio. Scorpio is a sign of emotional vulnerability, control, and willfulness. In Scorpio, we eventually transform this emotional instability into strength. Devotion and patience will be important now. Resist the temptation to fearfully control situations or others; it is best that we keep this emotional struggle to ourselves.

September 5-6

Support from partners and a general sense of hope and optimism will be present with an exalted Jupiter aspecting the Moon in Capricorn. There will be a nice contrast between sentiment and practical realism on these days. This supports wealth creation, especially through traditional business interests, as well as teaching endeavors.

September 8

Service and selflessness in harmony with our individual/willful self, will be important themes for the next 30 days beginning with the Full Moon in Aquarius. The Full Moon psychologically harmonizes the energy of the Sun sign. In this case, the individual self/Sun in Leo is being sensitized by the collective self/Moon in Aquarius. Stepping outside your comfort zone, toward something of higher social value, is the perfect mirror to your true power. After all, a king is useless without a kingdom to run and citizens to serve.

This Full Moon happens in the Nakshatra of Purva Bhadra, which is related to the lightning strike of inspiration and opportunity. Be inspired by a cause greater than yourself, including a spiritual one. This is a good time for teaching.

September 14-17

An interesting blend of emotional stability, curiosity, and intensity will be seen as the Moon is aspected by Mars, transiting through Taurus and Gemini. This may be a time to explore deeper transformations and changes in your romantic relationships or other important social interactions. Mars in Scorpio is demanding authenticity and truth now, and is more than willing to challenge your comfort zone in order to get it.

September 19-20

Inspired teaching and devotion are important with the Moon joined Jupiter in Cancer. Now is a time of creativity, love, and connection as well as it being a great time to both teach and learn what inspires you the most. Be on the lookout for an important new life lesson or inspiring message at this time. Look for elephants: Lord Ganesh might be important.

September 23

A 30-day cycle of organization and communication begin when the Sun and Moon come together, with the New Moon in Virgo. Virgo, the sign of organization, comes after Leo, the sign of power and building our kingdom. Virgo shows the need to manage and organize that power and delegate tasks to others, as well as to assume correct responsibility for ourselves. Managing daily routines and habits will be important. Guard against fussiness and nitpicking, both of yourself and others

This New Moon happens in the Nakshatra of Uttara Phalguni, ruled by the god Aryaman, the God of contracts and official business. He is usually paired with the God Mitra, the god of friendliness and cooperation. All of these issues are important if we are going to reach out to others and organize our kingdom in the best way.

September 25-30

This week, the Moon will be joined with one difficult planet after another, making this a tough five-day stretch. On September 25, the Moon is joined Rahu in Virgo, bringing about some initial confusion around our tasks and duties. However, there is also enormous room for growth and thinking outside the box.

September 26-27

Relationship pressure returns to the forefront with the Moon joined Saturn in Libra. Balancing the need for seclusion and connection will be important. A fear of loneliness creates an uncomfortable clinging. Being mature and realistic about others is important now. Partnerships work best with two committed, yet free, souls.

September 28-30

We may feel like we’re leaping from the frying pan into the fire, as the Moon joins Mars in Scorpio. After the previous three days, expect the heat to be turned up a notch. The key to surviving this transit is compassion and empathy for your own fears and vulnerabilities, as well as the fears of others. An aspect from Jupiter brings a quality of hope and teaching to the process.
